I would like to warmly welcome you to the website of New Marston Primary School in Oxford.
We are a hugely improved school since our last Ofsted. Two external reviews of the school have been able to verify this. See here.
All visitors to the school comment on the excellent behaviour of our pupils and their engrossment in their learning. Pupils talk of their pride in their work, how much they enjoy maths and how proud they are to be accomplished readers and writers.
We are based in the Marston area of Oxford and benefit from a unique mix of pupils, whose families come from local areas and from all parts of the world. Adults and children really look after and care for each other here. Academically, our pupils are benefiting from “High Performance Learning”, with very high expectations built in. (See here). They are responding to this really well. We expect all of our pupils to thrive academically and personally over the years ahead and have high aspirations for them in these areas.
Since arriving at the school last year, I have been struck by the warmth and kindness of the pupils, staff and parents. The first thing that I would like to say is that if you are a potential new parent reading this, then I would like to warmly invite you into the school to meet with myself and our staff and pupils and see and feel for yourself what a lovely school we are.
We are proud that we are part of the River Learning Trust. Further support comes from the new Governing Body, who are similarly relentless in their approach to school improvement.
New Marston is committed to providing an exciting and safe environment where everyone feels valued, loves learning and develops the skills to learn for life.

- Privacy. You may be aware that from 25 May 2018, the rules around data protection are changing. The ‘General Data Protection Regulation’ (GDPR) will change how we can use your personal data and keep it safe, and will also strengthen your rights over your own data. The point of this is to make sure sensitive or private information about yourselves and your children stays safe. Whilst it is similar to the current Data Protection Act in many ways, there are a few differences, so we need to make a few changes at the school and on our website in order to ensure we remain compliant. One of these changes is that we have updated our Privacy Notice. To view our Privacy Notice, please click here.
- NEW AND PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES ALWAYS WELCOME TO VISIT, or call 01865 761560 for an appointment. We’d love to see you!
